The hat is worked top down on a single circular needle using a magic loop technique.  The top of the hat is worked in the round and the earflaps are worked flat.  Hat and earflaps are worked as a single piece. 

It is advisable to do a swatch to see if you are happy with the fabric, especially as a hat needs to have a strong, dense fabric to keep the cold out.

Sizes: S M L 

small hat circumference - 55cm

med hat circumference - 56cm

large hat circumference - 57cm

Tension over the rib 14 sts & 23 rows will give you a 10cm square on 5mm needles

Yarn used 

einrum have designed this pattern using their Aran weight yarn L+2.  Icelandic wool blended with Thai silk.  

you will need 50g of yarn in each colour for the hat.  Picture is L2002 and L2008
