Helga Isager, from Danish yarn company designed this sweet and clever design cowl as part of her hand knit design book Room 606. 

The GHITA COWL is worked in squares using an intarsia technique.  The Cowl is a very clever design and a challenge if you want to try some new techniques such as butterflies and using tassels.   Ghita is knitted in using different colours of Isager Tvinni,  Isager Silk Mohair and Isager Highland wool.  You will need choose three colours of Isager Tvinni and one colour each of the silk mohair and Isager Higland Wool. 

The Cowl measures 30 x 75 cm

Ghita Cowl is shown is knitted in the following colour combination:

Colour A : A strand of Isager Tvinni colour 60 & Isager Silk Mohair no 62

Colour B: A strand of Isager Tvinni colour 39s & Isager Silk Mohair no 62

Colour C: A strand of Isager Highland Wool colour Rose & Isager Silk Mohair no 62

Colour: A strand of Isager Tvinni colour 61 & Isager Silk Mohair no 62

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

The cowl uses intarsia to knit the squares together.  

TOOLS ETC

4mm needles.  For the edges you will need a 3.5mm circular needle

GAUGE

Using the two strands of either Tvinni or Highland Wool and silk mohair cast on 20 stitches = 10cm square on 4mm needles.
